Peggy and Tom’s Story
Peggy and Tom, once residents of the busy Denver metropolitan area, sought a quieter and more affordable place for retirement. They chose Homes at Cobble Creek in Montrose. Peggy feels it is perfect for outdoor activities like golf and snowshoeing. The nearby mountains and forests also offer trails and lakes for hiking, biking and paddleboarding.
As newcomers to the planned community of Cobble Creek, they enjoy its clubhouse which hosts parties, dining, dancing and offers stunning mountain views. Ron and Sher’s Story
After dealing with city life and traffic in Minnesota, Ron and Sher sought peace and quiet for their retirement. The high desert community of Montrose checked off so many boxes they knew it was the place with its stunning views and open spaces. Montrose is the perfect place for an active outdoor lifestyle with a range of activities like hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, and year-round golf. Although not avid golfers, they enjoy all the green space without the maintenance.
Ron and Sher love Cobble Creek’s vibrant social life, including its clubhouse and fun social calendar of events, tennis courts, pickleball, fishing ponds, fitness center and sauna. Their new home, designed for aging in place is one level and features wide halls and doorways.
With mild winters and perfect summers, Cobble Creek was their ideal choice. Ron appreciates not having to shovel snow and looks forward to doing more of the activities on his wish list to include fly fishing. The community, not limited to those over 50, suits them well, offering a mix of ages and activities. Sher finds it perfect, enjoying the balance of tranquility and social engagements. Betsy’s Story
Betsy, originally from Pennsylvania, moved back to Montrose after her husband’s passing. She loved Montrose’s small-town charm, scenic beauty, and outdoor activities. Her preference is to live outdoors as much as possible. Upon returning, she discovered Cobble Creek and Homes at Cobble Creek. She refers to Cobble Creek as a “community, not a development,” and feels the phrase applies whether you’re a couple or single.
Betsy cherishes the Cobble Creek Community and has become very active, taking up golf, joining clubs, and participating in community projects.
