October Arts, Festivals and Events
TELLURIDE ART WALK – 3rd – A festive celebration of the arts for art lovers, the community and friends. Enjoy the art walk in downtown Telluride on the first Thursday of every month. Participating venues are open from 5-8 pm and host receptions to introduce new exhibits and to meet the artists.
MASS MOVEMENT – Telluride – 3-4th – An annual collaborative dance celebration event with Palm Arts and Telluride Dance Collective (TDC). It is a celebration to find what moves you whether you are on stage or in the audience.
LOVE YOUR GORGE (OUARY ICE PARK) – Ouray – 12th – During the winter months, the Ouray Ice Park is home to a world-class (human-made) ice climbing park that is part of the larger Uncompahgre River Gorge and within walking distance of the City of Ouray. Join the Uncompahgre Watershed Partnership in volunteering to work around this park and the greater gorge. The event ends with lunch, giveaways and a tour of the park.

DEREK FRANK + BAND: LIVE AT HEALTHY RHYTHM – 4th – A bassist and composer, Derek Frank writes music with a style from the 70’s. He has shared the stage with several great icons including Shania Twain, Gwen Stefani and Shakira. Together with several other well-known musicians he formed his new band.
MEET & GREET – Covered Bridge Ranch – 5th – Montrose Regional Health invites you to meet the Musculoskeletal Health Team for some fall fun. Enjoy the corn maze, hayrides, pumpkin patch and other fall activities.
SCARECROW FESTIVAL – Montrose Botanic Gardens – 5-6th – The festival will have face painting and kid’s activities. There is a Bookmobile and an auction featuring Scarecrows and other fall decor. Costumes are welcome.
ALICE’S WONDERLAND – Montrose Pavilion Event Center – 17-18th – Join Colorado West Performing Arts Company (CWPAC) down the rabbit hole as they present Alice’s Wonderland.
AMAZING RACE FOR ADAPTIVE SPORTS – 1309 Mayfly Dr – 19th – Montrose Recreation Foundation sponsors this urban adventure race that is part race, part scavenger hunt and part urban exploration.
FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK – Montrose Center for the Arts – 1st Friday – New art exhibit opens to the public each month. The featured artist is at the opening. There is live music, catered snacks and beverages.
